Writing Competition: Biography of Imam Ali (as)

Al-Mahdi Institute in association with Imam Ali Sanctuary presents a unique writing competition with a chance to win a trip to Qom, Iran and Najaf, Iraq to attend the Second International Conference on the holy Qur’an and Sirah (conduct) of the Ahl al-Bayt. Winners will be special guests of Imam Ali’s sanctuary in Najaf, Iraq and will also get the opportunity to present their papers during the conference.

The aim of the competition is to spread the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt and address the challenges of human societies by drawing solutions from the life of Imam Ali (as).

The conference, to be held in Qom and Najaf, is a scholarly endeavour to re-study the Sirah of Imam Ali (as) and to review the multi-faceted aspects of his governance, religious attitudes, social interaction, and moral character.

How to Enter:

Participants must submit a research paper of no more than 7500 words based on the life of Imam Ali (as).

Deadline for submissions: 31st October 2016

All papers must be submitted as a Word or PDF file via email only to [email protected]

All submissions must also include the following details;

– Full Name and Title

– Contact details (Telephone number, Email address and Contact address)

– Photograph of yourself

– Details of Academic qualifications

– CV/Resume

Winners will also get the opportunity to present their papers during the conference.

Outstanding papers will be published in the relevant journals.

Competition Prize:

5-day trip to Qom (Iran) and Najaf (Iraq) on 16th – 20th December 2016 to attend and participate in the Second International Conference on the holy Qur’an and Sirah (conduct) of the Ahl al-Bayt. The conference will be held on the 17th – 19th December and will start in Qom and conclude in Najaf. Winners will be special guests of Imam Ali’s sanctuary.

Chance to visit the holy Shrines in Qom and Najaf
