In September 2018, Shaykh Muhammed Reza Tajri was invited to participate in a and present his research in a two-day conference, which took place at SOAS, University of London.
The conference theme was based around a three nationwide research project, involving four British universities and funded by two of the country’s leading research councils. The project broadly looks at how Islam is being represented within the university campus context. Further information about the project can be found at this link:
Shaykh Tajri’s well-received presentation gave an insight into some of the empirical data, collected through qualitative research methods, which forms part of his ongoing PhD research. His particular research is positioned within this wider project, by concentrating on the Shia Muslim student organisations at British universities.
