Shaykh Arif gave keynote speech at Mehfil e Abbas Ground Breaking Ceremony

On Sunday 22nd May 2016, Shaykh Arif Abulhussain gave the keynote speech for the Mehfil e Abbas Project ceremony which was said to be a ground breaking ceremony ‘After years of preparation, patience, dedicated service and sheer hard work of many volunteers from our community in Birmingham’ The event commenced at 2pm and was set to be a fantastic celebration of our community history.

The event involved theatrical plays and a trip down memory lane overviewing the history of our community as well as presentations of the project about the future for our growing community.

The centre has many appealing facilities that complement the spiritual and social needs of a diverse community; from a much larger Mosque and Imambargah to a purpose built sports hall, ladies gym, cafe and many other features. Plans that will also benefit the future of the Birmingham community were elaborated on during this unmissable event.
