Al-Mahdi Institute was founded with the aspiration of establishing an educational institute in Europe that could provide advanced training in Islamic Studies and Arabic. At the heart of AMI Education lies the Hawza Programme, which is based on the curriculum taught at the traditional seminaries of Qom and Najaf. Taught over four years, the Hawza programme now gives students the opportunity to gain a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies awarded by the University of Birmingham in the final year. AMI offers flexibility and modules can be studied in-house or via distance learning with part-time study options available too. Short Courses, including a range of Islamic studies and language modules, are available for those who are unable to enrol on the Hawza Programme.
