Dr Ali-Reza Bhojani speaks about ‘Authority of a woman in Islamic Jurisprudence’ at Co-EJ Youth Programme

On Saturday 13th February Dr Ali-Reza Bhojani was invited to participate in ‘The Evolving Gender’ conference organised by the CoEJ Youth Desk. The conference was organised to discuss the role of a Muslim woman in a 21st century western society.
Topics such as the rise of the woman’s worldview in philosophical discourse, Women in community leadership and The emancipation of women in Islam were examined and discussed openly by speakers including Amina Inloes, Shaykh Kumail Rajani, Masuma Jaffer and our own faculty member Dr Ali-Reza Bhojani.
The World Federation of KSIMC Assistant Secretary-General Anisa Kanji shares her perspective on the importance of the Youth Conference as a way of commemorating the life of Lady Zainab and seek lessons from her but also examine an issue that ”really needs to be explored further”
