#BurningQuestion with Shaykh Arif Abdulhussain

On Saturday 27th June 2015, Al-Mahdi Institute held an informal Q&A session called #BurningQuestion to allow participants of all ages to engage in dialogue and discussion with Shaykh Arif Abdulhussain. Organised by Afroze Merchant and Mozzammil Jaffer, the event allowed each participant to ask one burning question each whilst remaining anonymous. With a turnout of over 50 people of all ages, the event was very well received by everyone present and benefited a lot of people too.

A wide array of topics were discussed including the rules regarding fasting, adoption, organ donation, prayer timings, hijab, taqleed and many more. Shaykh Arif answered each question eloquently with logical reasoning and real life examples.

Overall, the event was very successful and allowed to youth to get together and make good use of the time between Iftar and Sehri to enquire about any questions they had and learn more about Islam at the same time.

The event ended with informal discussions and a Barbeque Sehri for all.
