Birmingham Senior Citizens visit to Al-Mahdi Institute

On Tuesday 7th August 2018, The Birmingham Senior Citizen group of the KSIMC of Birmingham visited Al-Mahdi Institute to know more about what the Institute does and have a relaxing day out. The visit began with a tour of the Institute which included a tour of the scenic gardens and the library. This was followed by a Gujrati speech by Shaykh Tajri (Senior Lecturer in Arabic Studies at the Institute) explaining about the history of the institute, what AMI does, it’s activities and how it has grown over the years.
Mulla Gulam Kassam then gave a motivational speech, again in Gujrati, followed by a thank you speech by the president of the Senior Citizens committee Gulamabbas Khaki, and note of thanks from Al-Mahdi Institute. This was then followed by congregational prayers and a sumptuous lunch in the dining room.
The tour and outing was appreciated by the Senior Citizens who acknowledged and were impressed by the work done at the Institute.
