Birmingham Council of Faiths and AMI Outreach

AMI Outreach Officer Farhana Kapasi was invited by the members of Birmingham Council of Faiths to share information about the Outreach activities of Al-Mahdi Institute on 14th April’14.

Farhana spoke about the history of the establishment in its previous humble settings and the institute’s relocation on its current premise. She informed the members about the key area of the educational and research programmes of the institute and its various initiatives to create harmonious relationships between different faith communities in Birmingham and beyond.

During the discussion, she highlighted on AMI’s unique initiative called “One Faith”. This initiative has allowed the institute to open its door to people of all faiths or no faith to come and worship in the institute’s Chapel (Musallah) in their own way. Farhana expressed that the institute hopes this initiative will be shared by like minded people to help create a more cohesive and peaceful world.

This initiative was warmly appreciated by the members present and an interest was developed for future collaboration.
