Following a recent trip to Iran by AMI Director, Shaykh Arif Abdul-Hussain, and Dr. Hashim Bata, Al-Mahdi Institute is pleased to announce its collaboration with Mofid University in Qom, Iran. AMI currently offers a four-year Hawza Programme, which is based on the curriculum taught at the traditional seminaries of Qom and Najaf. This unique programme integrates the study of traditional Islamic sciences with modern approaches and theories. The syllabus equips students with the critical skills and knowledge required to contribute meaningfully in both seminarian and academic settings.
We are delighted to share that students who successfully complete the first three years of the Hawza Programme will now receive a BA degree in Islamic Theological Studies awarded by Mofid University. Thereafter, students can either obtain a Post-graduate Masters degree in Islamic Studies awarded by University of Birmingham (home students only) or a Post-graduate Masters degree in Islamic Theological Studies awarded by Mofid University. It is our sincere hope that through affiliating with such renowned Universities, AMI students are afforded greater resources and opportunities.
