On Sunday 25th June AMI held an Eid al-Fitr programme for family and friends to celebrate and enjoy. Marking the end of Ramadhan, the holy month of fasting and forgiveness in the Muslim faith, the program began with an Eid Khutbah by Shaykh Arif Abdulhussain. In the Khutbah Shaykh Arif spoke about the rise and importance of expression, especially through social media forums, and making the most of opportunities to communicate with different people, allowing the voice of humanity to grow and be unified. He also gave an insight on the importance of ensuring all religions come together as one and not being divided.
Following the khutbah the eid prayers were performed and the event concluded with family fun and games for everyone including a bouncy castle and slide, magic show and a surprise ice cream van entrance. The day was a huge success with many families coming together to celebrate Eid!
