AMI alumni graduates from collaborative MA with University of Birmingham

Congratulations to Al-Mahdi Institute alumni, Ahmer Shah, who successfully completed the Postgraduate Degree in Islamic Studies, awarded by the University of Birmingham. The MA is a collaborative degree offered by AMI and the University of Birmingham, which is taught across both campuses and can be studied on a full-time or part-time basis. The course allows students to develop knowledge and skills in contemporary academic research in Islamic Studies, with a historical, sociological, contextual, legal, or philosophical emphasis.

This is what Ahmer had to say about his experience:

“I completed the Master of Pharmacy undergraduate programme at Aston University, Master of Science in Advanced Practice, the four-year Hawza programme at Al-Mahdi Institute, and MA in Religion and Philosophy at the University of Wales prior to the MA Islamic Studies at the University of Birmingham. The MA in collaboration with AMI gives access to a breadth of experts in diverse subject areas. It is a perfect springboard for further research and the facilities at University of Birmingham and AMI are world class. I’ve found the experience to be thoroughly enjoyable and would highly recommend the MA in collaboration with AMI to others”
