The Muslim News Awards for Excellence highlights and celebrates Muslim contributions to British society and excellence within the Muslim community. The Al-Mahdi Institute is very pleased to be one of the sponsors for this event along with other sponsors such as the Prestige Group, Citi Partners and the Muslim Aid.

Muslims and non-Muslims from the world of politics, professional, business, sports and cultural life of Britain participate in the celebrations. It is a momentous and prestigious event receiving wide-ranging recognition/accolade and attended by over 800 high-profile guests.

Their previous chief guests have included the Prime Minister Tony Blair, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rt Hon Gordon Brown and, HRH the Prince of Wales.

It is intended that by identifying Muslim achievers and success stories around the UK, we will go some way towards providing the much needed positive role models for our younger generation, and towards countering the misconceptions and prejudice that surround Muslim community representation in the media.
